Looking Back 2007

It has been over seven months since Judy has joined me in Madison. A year ago we had nearly six months to be apart from the time I moved into the Condo in Sun Prairie and Judy's move here. It seemed like the longest six months and I never thought the day would come fast enough. Now seven months later I wonder where all the time has gone.

We have enjoyed much of the summer, going to the farmers market at the square on the capitol grounds, toured around the Dells, riding on the ducks, dinner on a cruise in the Dells, too numerous of movies to list, and really the list goes on.

One of the smartest things we have done here is joined Prairie Athletic Club. It is a health club that has three pools indoors and a large water park area outside for families in the summer, it also has inside basketball courts, a walking and running track, a soccer field, and many pieces of work out equipment. Judy likes the water aerobics, I like walking the track and working out on some of the equipment, we then meet after our work outs in their hot tub. We try and do this two to four times a week, with Judy taking part in a local theater, we sometimes go once during the week and then on Saturday and Sunday.

In August I went back to South Bend for my high school's 39 reunion. When we get back in South Bend we always try and meet up with our old friends and many family members. A trip home wouldn't be complete with out a trip to Roc's, a small bar and grill that has the best Friday night fish fry in all of South Bend and Mishawaka.

Many Monday nights this past summer, I golfed on PAC's golf league, this gave me a chance to meet other guys and do something I enjoy to do and that is golf.

Our church lost their pastor in May and late fall we joined with a church in Rockford, Ill. - Heartland - to move in another direction, "A Different Way to do Church", and it has been very exciting.
