I'm very excited to be in my very first Civic theatre performance. Sun Prairie does 4 every season, and this year, they were all musicals except for this one, The Curious Savage. Performances are Feb. 1, 2, 8, 9 at 7:30 pm and Feb 10 at 2 pm. I'm playing Dr. Emmett, a great role for me, since I should have been a shrink anyway. (or maybe a narc) It's a lot of fun, but a lot of work too, with rehearsals 4 nights a week plus 3 hours on Saturday. She enjoys the comedic value of the play but also says she thinks everyone can find a character in the show they can relate to.
my brother in an actor and instructor at rosebud school of the arts (rosebud theatre) and i remember that they had done this play as well. this summer everyone is all a buzz as they are putting on "Fiddler on the Roof" my brother is also a violinst....thus, he will be the fiddler on fiddler on the roof ;o)
