We're so proud of our son-in-law! Sunday he competed in the Malibu Triathlon. It meant starting with a half mile swim in the ocean, then an 18-mile bike ride, and ending with a 4-mile run. He did it all in just 2hr. 8 min. - how great is that?! Melissa ran around the whole time taking pictures - you've got to see them on their blog - http://thevanfleets.blogspot.com. Oh - and check out her picture of Jennifer Lopez, who also competed. Matthew McConaughey was also there competing, and gave Alex a High-5 during the run! I'd never wash that hand again.What the heck - I may as well brag on Melissa too while I'm at it.
