Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas with Melissa and Alex being here for a full week! We spent Dec. 23-25 with the rest of the family in South Bend, but had the rest of the time in Madison. They flew in to Milwaukee Saturday night, Dec. 20, without their luggage. The flight out of LA was delayed, and while they made the connecton in Denver, the luggage didn't. I always tell people if anyone's flight is late, or luggage is lost, it will be Melissa's. Anyway, it was a perfect excuse to be lazy on Sunday and stay indoors. The weather was really only bad when we had to travel - Tuesday to South Bend and then early Sunday morning (Dec. 28) to get them back to the airport in Milwaukee.

Jack insisted that Melissa and Alex open their gifts at the same time, with their eyes closed. We were so excited to get them a Wii and the
Wii Fit! Little did we know it would only
take Alex about two days to beat our
best record at the Ski Jump!
I got the book "Duma Key", a necklace, slippers and Wii Dancing with the Stars for Christmas from Mel & Alex Melissa, Mother and me at Mom's house -
we hadn't taken any pictures there in ages.

  1. Jack and Judy: I stayed up late one night recently going through your entire blog. What great posts! I loved it. Melissa is all grown up. We'll keep watching. Happy New Year! Christy Hanlon
