This weekend we were back in South Bend and attended Granger Missionary Church. We went with Jeff & Pam, and none of us knew that it was going to be a kid's service. I was delighted when Mark, the children's pastor, performed a stick routine of Arise My Love with the children. I am really proud of Mark - when he worked at Gospel Center with me, he attended the Lillenas Drama Conference with me and others, saw the routine originated by Jeff Smith of Salt & Light Ministries, and Mark fell in love with it. He bought the videos, taught himself the movements, and soon had young people of various ages performing. It's a great ministry, giving kids opportinities to perform even if they are shy, don't sing, or are afraid to be on stage alone. Plus it encourages all of us "in the arts" to look for unique ways to share the message. As soon as the song started and I realized what he was doing, I ran to the car to get my camera, so this video begins well into the song, but you will enjoy it! And I'm sharing it with my small drama troupe this evening at Heartland CC.
