Not sure where this month has gone. July 4th weekend Amy came up for the weekend, and we went to see the new Transformers movie at the Imax. And we went to the Monona Festival in Monona, WI. Amy and I enjoyed looking at the crafts, and Jack entered the hole-in-one-contest for the $5,000 prize. Let's just say they enjoyed his $14 donation to hit the golf balls into this lake. Well, actually, he really did hit one right onto the floating platform, but it bounced off and into the water. Oh well.
We were back in South Bend the weekend of the 18-19th and Jack was able to golf with his old McDonald's buddies and Kevin. Saturday night we ate fish at Roc's (the best!) with Bev & Kevin and Jeff & Pam. The place was dead so we didn't feel too bad about sitting at our table about 3 hours - then we headed down to Coldstone's for dessert, yummy! I had a lot of time with Mom at Tanglewood Trace while Jack golfed, she wasn't in a particularly good or bad mood. But we did work on a puzzle together. Amy had gotten her a 25-pc. one that she really liked, and I brought her two 100-pc. puzzles. Maybe a little too tough, Jack ended up putting together most of the outside border for us, and then Mom and I worked on the inside. Despite how she looks here, she really did get in to it.

The weather has been so cool here most weekends, we haven't even made to the lake yet. This weekend we're supposed to go to a potluck after church and to a graduation party after that. Hopefully it will be sunny and we may actually get down to the lake as well. Our lives aren't very exciting!
But speaking of exciting, I live vicariously through my daughter's life - Melissa and Alex are such a cute couple and do so many neat things together.

See what I mean - just sooo cute! This is at the home of Melissa's boss. They sneak over there for photo ops whenever he's out of town - just kidding, it's after a party - and the boss was there.
The weekend before, they had a friend in town from the U.K. and had tickets to see a soccer game. Not only was Beckham playing, but Tom Cruise was there in the stands, so they got pictures of both of them.
