I give up. I can't hide indoors all winter long. There's actually life in Wisconsin in the winter. Good thing, considering winter lasts about 6 months here. Ok, not really, it just seems that way sometimes. Part of our new attitude is to get out and see more of this beautiful (albeit COLD) state started with a drive to Sauk City for Bald Eagle watching. We had a good time, but really just saw one eagle swooping and soaring (and later perching) - they say it's best to get there in the mornings, and we weren't there till after 1 pm. Next time. Afterwards we did a little shopping at a local shop and then stopped to watch families sledding.

See him soaring!

Jack really wanted his photo taken with an eagle. This was the best we could do.

Wild Turkey!

Jack can look, but has strict orders to not even think about bringing one of these home!

Sledding - a great winter sport (as long as I'm watching from the car).
They look they are having lots of fun - reminds me of the old days when we actually did this with Melissa
