Olbrich Gardens

We finally visited Madison's famous Olbrich Gardens. It was the last day of the butterfly exhibit, and I'd envisioned getting fantastic photos of them - like Alex has. (forgetting he's really a great photographer - me, not so much) And it didn't occur to me that when butterflies are resting, or landed, they close their wings - that doesn't make for very amazing photos. Here's one of a Zebra, and I don't remember what the other kind is.

Here's two of them at rest - looking a lot more like moths than butterflies
Couldn't resist this photo of the canaries. I can't remember what the red-billed one is, but you can tell he's very happy about getting his picture taken - he's staring right into the camera
Visiting the Rose Garden was a highlight of the visit. Isn't this a gorgeous color?
How many bees do you find on these beautiful flowers?
The perfect red rose
Our smiling, happy faces (Jack said, can we go home now?)
